Welcome to your client portal

This is the central home for your project with The Feel Co. As we move through the work, this page will hold the key information, links, documents, decisions and next steps in one place, so you always know where things stand and what is needed from you.

You can return here throughout the project whenever you need to complete something, revisit a conversation or find the latest version of a document. I will continue adding to the portal as the work develops.

  • Activate your new Squarespace website

Watch this video for visual instructions!

Hi Emma,

Your old website subscription is ending tonight/early tomorrow (US time). I have cancelled your auto billing for it and it will cease early tomorrow morning.

Your new Other People website is ready to move onto a paid Squarespace subscription. This activates the new website hosting. Your existing domain and Google Workspace email will be moved across by me after this step.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the new Other People website from your Squarespace account dashboard.

  2. Check that you are viewing the new website, not the previous website. The new design should appear in the site preview.

  3. Click Subscribe or Upgrade. This usually appears in the banner at the bottom of the screen. If it is not visible, go to:

    Settings → Billing → Subscriptions → Website

  4. Squarespace will display its available website plans. I suggest just selecting the Basic plan.

Squarespace may mark the Core plan as “Recommended,” but Core is not required. We can upgrade in the future if need be.

***Note: If Squarespace displays a warning that a feature on the new site is unavailable on the Basic plan, please stop and send me a screenshot before completing payment. You might then need to buy the Core Plan***

  5. Choose Annual billing to get the 20% off.

  6. Enter your billing information and preferred payment card.

  7. Review the website plan, billing cycle and total carefully, then confirm the subscription.

  8. If Squarespace offers you a new domain or a free year of Google Workspace, skip these options. You already have a domain and an active Google Workspace account, and both will be moved to the new website.

  9. Once payment is confirmed, please let me know that the subscription is active.

Please don’t change these

  • Don’t purchase or register another domain.

  • Don’t create a new Google Workspace account or email address.

  • Don’t cancel the existing domain.

  • Don’t cancel Google Workspace.

What happens next

Once the new website subscription is active, I will:

  1. Move your existing domain to the new website.

  2. Confirm your Google Workspace subscription has moved with it.

  3. Test the website, contact forms and email.

  4. Confirm when the new website is fully live.

***If Squarespace displays a warning that a feature on the new site is unavailable on the Basic plan, please stop and send me a screenshot before completing payment.***

  • 1st draft creation

Hi Emma,

Your website is currently being created!

I have made a copy of your existing website and then editing it, so that your current website stays fully functional until the launch day.

Your current Squarespace subscription is being renewed late August, so my aim is to have your website completed by that time, so you can simply create a new subscription with your new website and we will retire your current (old) website then.

Grab a coffee. Let’s get into it.

Before I begin shaping the direction of the brand and website, I want to understand the business from your point of view: what makes it distinctive, what has changed, what matters most to your clients and what you want the next version of it to feel like.

So, grab a coffee, give yourself around 30 minutes and move through the questionnaire at your own pace. There are no perfect answers and nothing needs to sound polished. The instinctive, honest responses are usually the most useful.

Some questions may be easy to answer immediately, while others may bring up ideas you would rather explore together. Skip anything that does not feel relevant, or simply note that you would like to discuss it.
